How I became a Rep for Pura Vida Bracelets
*Disclaimer: I may earn a small commission for purchases made through some of the links on this page. My views and opinions are never swayed and will only recommend products I love.
Good Morning!
Over three years ago, I was looking up charity bracelets for Crohn's Disease. I wanted something cuter than those standard rubber ones that everyone started making, but more importantly, represent a charity that is near and dear to my heart.
That's when I came across Pura Vida Bracelets. The Crohns Disease Awareness bracelet was cute, wax coated, and donated part of the proceeds towards the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America. I ordered a couple, and fell in love with them! I went back to the site and ordered some others for various charities or organizations, and eventually ventured into other styles like beaded and braided. I had my own little collection going!
Basically I have a discount code "LauraGarcia20" that allows anyone who uses it to receive 20% off their entire purchase made on the Pura Vida Bracelets website. Then I earn a percentage of whatever the customers total cost was. It's a win-win!
You might be wondering why I'm telling you all about my job as a rep, and it's for a couple reasons. It is something I thoroughly enjoy doing, for a company I love, and it benefits those who want to purchase from them by giving the customer a discount. But I also want to help spread the "Pura Vida" movement. Living life the "Pura Vida" way has made a huge difference in my health and happiness. I have never been so appreciative of every little thing in my life before I found out about this Costa Rican philosophy. Changing the way I think about life has helped me grow into the mermaid I am today, and I'm so grateful for that.

I started posting about it on social media and the brand took notice. They messaged me one day saying they had a rep program and asked me to apply to be a part of it. A few weeks later I received an email saying that I was accepted! It seemed like a cool thing for me to do on the side, plus I was already posting about the brand anyways, so making a little extra money was a bonus!

Now, what I like to do, is take my own photos rocking the brand to share on my Instagram. It's fun for me to come up with ways of incorporating them into my photography. I simply spread the word on how awesome the company is and make sure I share my discount code with each post.
I also want to mention the bracelets are all coated in wax, which makes them 100% waterproof! Perfect for a mermaid like me. I wear them at the beach, pool, and even shower with them on and they haven't rusted or fallen apart. Increased exposure to water only softens the texture of the bracelet, making them more comfortable over time. Plus since they are handmade by artisans from all over the world, every purchase helps support them and their families.

One of the many reasons I loved the brand is the meaning behind it. "Pura Vida" is a Spanish term popular in Costa Rica that translates to "pure life." It basically means to live your life to the fullest. To not take anything for granted and to enjoy life's simple treasures.

Now I want to thank you for taking time to read my blog! Your support has helped me get chosen as the Pura Vida Rep of the Month this past October! Which has also opened doors for me into the world of content creating for many other brands as well, and I'm excited for what's to come next!
