Lyfe Update - Game of Thrones binge-a-thon and trips to Naples and Pompano Beach!
Hey guys!
April of 2019 has been CRAZY, so I thought I would catch you up and explain what's been going on this month. Lots of last minute stuff has been happening that's made me super busy, but glad it's all good things!

Naples
The first week of April, my bestie asked me if I wanted to go on a quick trip to Naples, Florida. I, of course, said yes! (You know I'm always down for a beach day.)
We were only going for 2 days, yet I overpacked as usual. Our first day there was supposed to have heavy downpours of rain and thunderstorms... so, wanting to be prepared, I packed sneakers, umbrellas, and even a raincoat to keep me dry. Lucky for us, it never rained! I lived in a bikini, t-shirt, and shorts the entire time, and loved every minute of it.
We were able to have two nice days of beach hopping, eating, and taking tons of photos. So here's a sneak peek at some shots from the trip! (I'll be sharing more photos along with some things to do in another blog post soon!)
The day after I got back from Naples, I went running errands with family. Which included picking up a t-shirt to wear the next day for the PRIDE Parade!
PRIDE
Attending a PRIDE Parade is something I've always wanted to do, and it was one of the most fun days I've ever had! To be surrounded by so much energy, love, and light left me filled with so much joy. I was profoundly moved by everyone celebrating who they are. No matter your sexual preference, race, age, religion, or culture, we were all there to celebrate one thing: LOVE.
I've always been a supporter of the LGBTQ community. I firmly believe everyone should be who they wanna be, love who you wanna love, and wear what you wanna wear. But after spending the day surrounded by thousands of people who feel the same, I now have an even greater understanding of what that means to be yourself.
I spent the entire day screaming, laughing, and dancing down Ocean Drive. By the time I made it home, I was ready for a shower, nap, and gallons of water to quench my thirst.
The second week of April was pretty much catching up with life and work. Which included backing up all my photos and videos, publishing another blog post, and finished watching Game of Thrones!!!
Game of Thrones
Okay, so this may seem silly to write about in a blog post, but watching Game of Thrones took up a ton of my time between March and April this year. I've had so many friends tell me to watch the show for years, but I haven't had access to HBO (or HBOGO) until now! They knew I would enjoy it because of my love for the sci-fi/drama/romance genres. And yes, I'm OBSESSED!
It took me about 3 weeks to watch all 7 seasons of GoT. (But, as I'm writing this post, episodes 1 and 2 of season 8 have already aired.) I'm not going to say any spoilers, but in case you were wondering, my favorite characters are Jon Snow, Arya Stark, and Tyrion Lannister. (Although my answer does change depending on what's going on!)
Then, after dinner on Friday, April 12th, I found out I could go for a week-long vacation to Pompano Beach, Florida! The only problem was we had to check in the next day... (I say its a problem because I do not work well under last minute stressful situations! I typically like having a few days to properly check my packing lists, plan out photo shoots, and calmly pack everything in an orderly manner.)
Pompano Beach
After barely sleeping the night before, my mom and I were able to get everything done Saturday morning and check in to the hotel in Pompano Beach by the afternoon. My motto for the week was literally to just to go with the flow. I didn't really have time to properly plan my shoots, so any photos and things I did was just thought of as time went on!
It was such a great week having fun in the sun (I've got the tan lines to prove it!) But my favorite day this week was actually when we drove even further North up the coast to Coral Cove in Tequesta, Florida. (There is just so much I want to tell you about this beach but I'm working on some other content about it so stay tuned for that!)
After our trip to Pompano, I had a much-needed family day filled with yummy food, Tetris battles, and playtime with the kiddos. Then back home to Miami for lots of boring things like laundry, errands, and backing up more photos...
Only to realize late Monday night that I was coming down with a cold!😷
I tried distracting myself from being sick by Marie-Kondo-ing a few drawers in my dresser... and although it did help me re-organize and get rid of stuff, I also got very tired and needed more rest.
It's now Thursday (April 25, AKA the "Perfect Date". If you know, you know.😉)
I've been in bed most of the week just trying to kick this illness and feel better, but I wanted to come on here and give you guys a little insight into the last few weeks of my life.
And just as a friendly reminder, although it may seem like I'm always going on trips to the beach, that's actually not the case! I've just been very fortunate this year to have a lot of trips come up in a short amount of time. But that just means I'm extra busy anytime I'm at home. Plus being sick this week has kept me from being as productive as I would like, but I'm pushing through!

Oh and side note, I just watched Sharkwater Extinction for free on Amazon, and OH MY GOD everybody needs to watch it. The apex predator of the sea are being hunted, slaughtered, and sold in stores right down the street from me and it is NOT okay! Please take some time to watch the film (and watch the first Sharkwater as well, which I believe is on Netflix).
