I probably shop on Amazon a few times a month... I can't help it, they've got everything I could ever want! But this week I'm extra excited because Amazon Prime Day is coming up super soon!! This is THE time to take advantage of great deals and discounts for things in any category. Saw a Kitchen-Aid mixer you liked but haven't ordered it yet? Or maybe some school supplies you set aside in your cart for the coming semester? Have you been saving up to buy the latest 4K TV but haven't pulled the trigger yet? You should definitely take advantage of these deals while you have the chance! Keep reading for my top picks and insight into the best shopping day of the summer.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is an online global shopping event that allows you to shop for thousands of top-rated products at discounted prices. There will be deals in every category such as home, kitchen, electronics, fashion, toys, and baby.
In addition, on July 10th, 2019, at 9pm EDT, there will be a live concert exclusively for Prime members! Jane Lynch will be hosting the event, while Taylor Swift will be performing live with Dua Lipa, SZA, and Becky G. The two-hour event will be available to watch online and is included with your Prime membership.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
This year, Prime Day will last 48 hours. Starting at midnight (PST) on Monday, July 15 and continue through Tuesday, July 16, 2019.
Most deals will only be for a certain amount of time during these days. What's on sale at 8am on Monday won't necessarily be available to purchase a few hours later! But you can add yourself to a "watchlist" for certain items, so you'll be notified when an item is available later on in the day.
How do I access these awesome deals?
Prime day is accessible to all Amazon Prime members. So you'll need to login to Amazon.com and sign up for Prime in order to take advantage of this sale. Don't worry, if you use this link, you'll get your first 30 days of Prime for free!

"Watch" the deals you like
If you're serious about getting the best deals on an item, I have a tip for you! Download the Amazon App (available for the App Store and Google Play). Once downloaded, go to the settings in the app and turn on notifications titled "Your Watched and Waitlisted Deals". Then, as you scroll through the Amazon Prime Day Upcoming Deals, you can add upcoming deals to your watchlist. Once the deal is live and available for purchase, you'll receive a notification and will be able to order the preferred item at a discounted price.
Some items may only be available for purchase for an hour, while other deals will last the entire 48 hours of Prime Day. Adding items to your watchlist will help you figure out what you want to buy, and the notification feature will ensure you don't miss out on anything you liked! (You will only be notified for deals that you added to your watchlist.)
Sneak Peeks
Every day from July 8 through July 14, 2019, there will be a sneak peek of upcoming Prime Day deals. To access these sneak peeks and get a head start, download the Amazon App. Then in the search bar, type "Sneak Peek, and tap on the top result titled "Prime Day Sneak Peek". The deals shown here will change daily, so if you see a deal that interests you, tap "watch this deal" so you'll be notified when it goes live!
Special Early Access
Even though Prime Day officially starts on Monday, (July 15), there are some early access deals available for purchase happening right now! For currently active early access deals, use this link. And for any upcoming early access deals, you can head here! From there you can scroll through or narrow it down by category to find anything you'd be interested in. Much like on official Prime Day, the items listed change every few hours, so be sure to check back or save items to your watchlist, so you don't miss out!
